The Ministry of Education is investigating a case involving a confrontation between teachers and students at a boarding school in Tailevu.
This has been confirmed to Fijivillage by a senior official within the Education Ministry who said a report is with the Director of Secondary.
We have been informed that some teachers were sent home last Saturday and the incident involved more than two students.
According to a school official, the incident occurred after the students left the school compound without asking for permission from teachers.
The students were confronted by some teachers when they returned to the school.
The school has declined to comment and referred our questions to the Ministry of Education.
Members of the school's Old Scholars Association have also raised concerns about the alleged incident.
