Police have confirmed that the bodies of the two boys that were missing at the Bilalevu river in Sigatoka have been recovered this morning.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed that the two were found by Warwick Hotel Divers and the search party.

Naisoro says that the post mortem examinations will be conducted to confirm the cause of deaths as investigations continue.

A search for the two boys was also conducted yesterday afternoon.

Police say the two are students of Loma Primary School in nadroga Navosa District aged 12 and 9 years old.

Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says they went swimming after accompanying 12-year-old boy’s 34-year-old father to tie his horse a few meters from their house.
