Prime Minister and FijiFirst Leader, Voreqe Bainimarama says the National Federation Party Leader, Professor Biman Prasad is scared of the iTaukei as he only wants to have a look at all the human rights violations in the last 12 years following Fiji’s inclusion as a member of the UN Human Rights Council.
While speaking at a FijiFirst campaign meeting in Korovuto, Nadi Bainimarama said that the last 12 years is when the FijiFirst government was in place adding that the NFP leader is scared of the iTaukei as he did not ask to have a look at human rights violations of earlier years.
Bainimarama says that developments over the last four years are the kind of developments that nobody has ever thought of before such as the free school fees and free bus fares adding that now everybody wants the same.
The Prime Minister adds that everybody wants to take out the scholarships but they don’t know how much money is involved in that scholarships and yet they want to give out free scholarships.
He says that SODELPA now wants to go back to the old scholarship system and the 1997 constitution.
Bainimarama has stressed that the 2013 constitution recognizes everyone, and it brought equality to the nation.
He says that iTaukei land in Momi and Denarau was sold because the iTaukei land was available to be sold under the 1997 constitution and the iTaukei do not seem to realize this.
Meanwhile NFP Leader, Biman Prasad says people want solutions and the FijiFirst Leader is only on a path to attack him and the NFP.
He says NFP stands for fairness, justice and equality.
Prasad stresses that they do not just represent the Indo Fijians.
