Baber ready for the challenge of leading the best 7s team in the World

A new journey will begin this Saturday for Fiji 7's Rugby when Gareth Baber will lead the Vodafone Fiji 7's team in the Wellington 7's.

Baber says this is in an exciting time in his life and is ready for the challenge of leading the best 7's team in the World.

Baber has a wealth of experience as a 7s player, playing and captaining the Wales National 7s Team in the World Rugby Series, two Rugby 7s World Cup tournaments and two Commonwealth Games.

The Fiji 7's Team for Wellington 7's: Jasa Veremulua, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Setareki Bituniyata, Nemani Nagusa, Kalioni Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula, Jerry Tuwai, Vatemo Ravouvou, Osea Kolinisau, Alifereti Veitokani, Amenoni Nasilasila, Samisoni Viriviri, Nacanieli Labalaba, Joeli Lutumailagi.

The Wellington 7's kicks off at 10am this Saturday with the Wales and Russia match.

Fiji will play Australia in their first pool match at 10.46am Saturday before facing Japan at 2.10pm while Fiji’s last pool match will be against South Africa at 6.18pm.

The medal quarterfinals will begin at 11.38am Sunday while the semifinals will begin at 4.16pm.

The medal final will be held at 7.30pm Sunday.
