Baber names Fiji 7s team for Rugby World Cup 7s

Fiji Airways Men’s 7s coach, Gareth Baber has named his final 12 member team to the Rugby World Cup 7s in San Francisco beginning this Friday.

The team includes: captain Jerry Tuwai, Semi Radradra, Josua Tuisova, Leone Nakarawa, Alasio Naduva, Amenoni Nasilasila, Jasa Veremalua, Kalione Nasoko, Paula Dranisinikula, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Semi Kunatani and Vatemo Ravouvou.

World Rugby Sevens Men's Rookie of the Year, Eroni Sau has missed out on selection however, Baber believes this team will be best suited to the conditions and unique format of the Rugby World Cup competition.

The Fiji 7s team will leave Utah for San Francisco today.

Fiji will play their first game against the winner between Japan and Uruguay at 3.53pm Saturday.

Barring any upsets, they will either meet Argentina or Canada in the Cup quarterfinals at 10.54am Sunday, they will either meet Australia or New Zealand in the cup semifinals at 8.02am next Monday and will either meet South Africa, England or USA in the final at 12.49pm next Monday.
