Air Terminal Services has confirmed that the 26 workers that have returned to work have each been given a warning letter as a consequence of them abandoning their workstations on the 16th of last month.

As the dispute is now on its 18th day, Acting CEO Hare Mani says after the mediation process which started again last Wednesday both parties have still failed to reach a resolution.

A statement by the company says while there is no victimisation there are consequences for misconduct in the way returning workers will receive a warning letter.

ATS Employees Trust Secretary, Vili Finau says some workers have returned to work but they do not have confirmed numbers on how many have returned to work.

He says they maintain their stand where none of the workers have to sign a letter to return to work.

Finau says they are also calling for an independent board of inquiry into the ATS Management and the Chairman of the board.

He also says they believe that this will allow them to discuss the real issues that are affecting them.

More than 200 workers are still on strike.
