2 shops in Korovou town destroyed in fire

Korovou police have confirmed that Shop N Gain Supermarket and Bill’s Billard shop were destroyed in a fire early this morning.

They also confirm that Nayan’s supermarket was also partially destroyed.

An eyewitness has told Fijivillage that the fire started at around 6am today.

It is not clear as yet where the fire started from.

Firefighters from the Korovou and Nausori fire stations battled the blaze this morning.

The National Fire Authority says three fire trucks were at the scene and helped contain the fire.
