2 people charged in relation to the discovery of bullets in Lautoka

Two people have been charged in relation to the discovery of bullets on a yacht at Vuda Marina in Lautoka last Sunday.

Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Biu Matavou says a businessman and another person have been charged under the Arms and Ammunition Act.

They will appear at the Lautoka Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Matavou says the third suspect who was also taken in for questioning over the weekend is still being questioned.

The bullets were discovered at Vuda Marina, Lautoka last Sunday.

Following the discovery, a raid was conducted by police in a pharmacy in Lautoka last Friday.

Police have confirmed that the yacht belongs to the owner of the pharmacy.
