Twelve people have already become victims of suicide in the first one and half months of this year compared to eight for the same period last year.
In the latest incident, an eleven year old girl is alleged to have committed suicide for reasons still being investigated by Police.
The girl was found by her sister inside their home in Vatuwaqa yesterday afternoon.
Police have also recorded 16 cases of attempted suicide cases so far this year compared to 6 for the same period last year.
