A 35-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman each charged with a count of murder have been further remanded in custody by the Suva High Court.
Noa Ravutanasau and Melaci Tikomairarotoga allegedly caused the death of a 30-year-old Rusiate Vakalakovi on the 30th of last month.
The court was told that Ravutanasau and Tikomairarotoga allegedly assaulted Vakalakovi beside the Total Service Station in Suva.
Police had earlier confirmed that the 30‑year‑old man who was heavily intoxicated was picked up by a patrol team from outside a nightclub and rushed to the CWM Hospital where he was handed over to medical authorities.
He was seen by medical personnel and left the hospital where he was later found lying motionless outside the hospital premises.
State lawyer, Sujata Lodhia today asked the court for time to file information regarding the accused.
The matter has been adjourned to next Tuesday.
