All trenches at Cakobau road in Suva near Berkeley Crescent will be cleaned up, rolled and sealed by next Wednesday.
The Fiji Roads Authority says the major potholes will be repaired to make it into a more driveable condition.
In response to questions by Fijivillage, FRA General Manager Network Operations and Maintenance Aram Goes said works on the water main is 80% complete with upper Cakobau already finished and Denison partly complete.
Goes says the FRA Contractor and WAF are actively progressing this phase of the project.
He says this will take approximately 14 days to complete.
Goes adds thereafter the new kerb and channel with footpaths will start in early January, with the pavement reconstruction due in February.
He adds that the moment they are waiting for Water Authority of Fiji to complete the pressure test and commission on the completed sections of water main.
He also says the pavement work is due to be completed by end of February and they aim to seal Cakobau and Denison Road in early March.
