'Born from Fire' exhibition launched

Fiji’s first exhibition that showcases the creative art of Glass and Metal called Born from Fire was launched at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last night.

It showcases the artistic talents and collaborative works of Shane Bower and Alice Hill which are two of Fiji’s most sought after contemporary three dimensional artists.

Hill operates Hot Glass Fiji.

While launching the exhibition, Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya commended Shane Bower and Alice Hill saying that they have expertly curated the exhibition that reflects and celebrates the beauty of the country.

He says they have both certainly raised the profile of world class artwork, especially 3 Dimensional Art made in Fiji.

It took the two artists about six months to work on the  collaborative pieces, which are on display for the first time.

The Exhibition will be open to the public for ten days.
