The hunt is on for a 28-year-old inmate who escaped from the Ba Corrections Centre yesterday.
Satish Prasad, who was detained on December 19th, was on remand and awaiting trial for the offence of trespassing.
The Centre found him missing during a headcount before lockup at around 4.30pm yesterday.
Harbouring prisoners is an offence and any person found guilty can face a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to a term of imprisonment of less than two years.
