The new $5 million Fiji National University scholarship program in vocational courses announced in the 2013 Budget has been regarded as vital for Fiji by the university’s Vice Chancellor Ganesh Chand.
He said this is unique in the sense that for the first time they have a government scheme that addresses the skill shortage in the country.
In addition 124 schools will have vocational training/programmes from a $1.2m allocation fund.
