The new workers union, Coral Coast Tourism Catering Workers which was formed from the Warwick Resort and Spa hotel workers, has gained the backing of their employers.
Union general secretary Kalaveti Batibasaga said this is after their new workers union signed an MOU with the Warwick Resort and Spa hotel and gained the recognition as the new in house union.
Batibasaga said now they will only have to discuss the collective agreement with their employers which will be completed by this month.
He added they will be approaching other workers on the Coral Coast area to join their new union.
