The government does not just want our children to dream big but wants to give them the tools and support to turn these dreams into reality.
Those were the words of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while addressing the students of Ratu Emeri Primary School in Kubulau, Bua during their Pass Out Parade today.
Bainimarama said that tours like this are the best way for him to hear people's concerns and get feedback about the government's development programs.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the efforts of the students of Ratu Emeri Primary as they are the first primary school in Vanua Levu to have a cadet program.
Bainimarama reminded the students of Ratu Emeri that the current government is trying to build a smarter Fiji through free primary and secondary education and scholarship based on merit for the top 600 students for selected courses.
He also said it is crucial that our young people learn the value of national service.
Bainimarama said the country needs individuals who are brave enough to rise above the narrow interests and act for the benefit of all Fijians.
He told the students of Ratu Emeri Primary that he has no doubt that some of them will become such leaders in the new Fiji.
