200,000kgs of AusAID relief supplies have landed in Fiji yesterday in the wake of Cyclone Evan.
An ADF C 17A Globemaster aircraft brought 700 tarpaulins, 200 shelter kits, 1,500 water containers, 3,000 blankets and 750 hygiene kits including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, sanitary kits and laundry detergent.
Australia's Foreign Minister Bob Carr said that this is the first part of a $1 million package of assistance.
