The production of a 50 episode Chinese TV movie series titled “Love in Fiji” will take place in Fiji soon costing $2.6 million.

This investment was launched yesterday by the Minister for Youth and Sports Viliame Naupoto who said the production will promote Fiji, its beautiful tropical scenery, its warm and friendly people and tourism to the China market.

The TV series is about a businessman who arranged another businessman’s son to marry his daughter.

On their expected wedding day, the bride decides that she does not want to wed because she does not love the groom and decides to run away.

She gets to the airport without a visa arranged and the only destination that is available for her at that time that will allow her travel without a visa is Fiji.

She thus travels to Fiji and the love story unfolds.

This investment project was facilitated through the Pacific Islands Trade & Investment Beijing office with the support and assistance of Investment Fiji and Film Fiji.
