The Fiji Electricity Authority is now trying its best to restore power to areas that still do not have electricity.
DISMAC said the Prime Minister has stressed to everyone that every effort should be made to ensure that people receive the essential services including power and water supply.
Some areas are not receiving water supply due to no power supply.
FEA Chief Executive Hasmukh Patel said they are following a plan but he cannot give a timeframe for each area as yet.
Fijivillage has received calls from a number of residents from different parts of the country.
In Lami and Delainavesi, they are questioning when inspections and repairs will be done as the residents said they have just seen vehicles coming around but they claim no repairs or inspections are being done.
Patel said the FEA teams should be there.
After this interview, some parts of Lami have started getting power and FEA workers are now being seen around.
For Nadi, Patel said the Nadi Chamber of Commerce will be informed when power will be restored tonight.
For Lautoka, parts of the city are now receiving power supply while the focus has also shifted to the residential areas.
Patel said work also continues in Ba.
He said work is continuing in all affected areas.
Patel said the focus is on restoring power to the cities and towns, hospitals and water pumping stations.
