With the brunt of Tropical Cyclone Evan being felt in the Western part of Fiji, families in the Central Division are already taking precautions while its daylight, by moving into evacuation centers.
Commissioner Central, Laisenia Tuitubou said Evacuation Centers are already accommodating people including those from seaside villages with the approaching high tide.
According to Tuitubou more than 9 evacuation centers were activated today in the Central Division 2 in Serua Namosi, 3 in Naitasiri, in Korovou the Vunidawa Community Hall, in Tailevu North 4 evacuation centers.
