Miss Earth Fiji Esther Foss took out Gold in the Best Teacher category of the 11th Miss Earth Pageant currently taking place in Manilla Philippines.
The 21 year old Marine Science student at USP won the gold medal during the talent competition and school tour earlier this week.
Foss is also ranked 5th out of 24 in group 3.
Miss Earth is one of the biggest beauty pageants in the world which affiliates its program with United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and promotes environment issues around the globe.
The winner of Miss Earth will serve as the Ambassador to environmental protection campaigns worldwide.
The finals of the Miss Earth pageant will take place next Sunday at 1.00am.
