It was a sad day for a family in Nayawa Settlement Sigatoka after one of their loved one perished and another landed in hospital when their house was completely destroyed by fire this morning.
Speaking to Fijivillage, family member Jitten Singh said that he was shocked to receive the news that his brother had died in the fire.
Jitten said that what hurts him the most is that his 7 year old niece will never see his father again.
According to National fire authority they received the call at 7.16 this morning which they responded to immediately.
NFA investigation confirmed that the house was intentionally set on fire which the matter has been referred to police.
Meanwhile police has confirmed that the 62 year old women who sustained burns during the fire is admitted at the Sigatoka hospital.
