Investigations continue in alleged sodomy incident

Investigation is still underway in relation to an incident where a 24 year old inmate was allegedly sodomize by three other inmates.

Fiji Correction Service Spokesperson Ana Tamani said the victim is now back at the Suva Correction Centre after he was released from hospital earlier this week.

She said the three suspects have been transferred to the Naboro Maximum Correction centre as they breached the prison rule.

According to police the alleged incident occurred on the 2nd of this month where the three inmates used a foreign object to sodomize the victim leading to serious injuries.
