Movement is restricted now in Cakaudrove until further notice.
The statement has been issued by the Savusavu Police station awhile ago.
The restriction starts this hour.
Saula Tuiqalau of Wainika village in Cakaudrove said people living in the low lying areas have moved to higher ground.
He said 60 people of Vatu village are now at the evacuation centre at Wainika District School.
He added that they are starting to feel strong winds.
