Similar weather conditions are being experienced in Labasa, Taveuni and Bua.
Taveuni police station say for the past few hours they have been experiencing light rain that is accompanied with fluctuating winds that is very strong at times.
In Bua around 50 people from Daria, Korotiki and neighboring villages are currently taking shelter at Ratu Luke Secondary School.
Bua resident Asaeli Vula said that they are experiencing strong winds.
Yasawa:
The village of Yasawa-i-rara is currently experiencing a slight drizzle while the sea is calm.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Village headman Siotame Ciricirisuva said that there are 56 houses in the village and villagers have heeded warnings by preparing for the worst.
He added that the community hall is being set up as an evacuation center and for those living close to the shoreline have moved inland to houses on higher grounds.
