The Police Commissioner will decide on the necessary action if the police officers on duty at the Nadi Police Station earlier this week are found to be at fault when three remand prisoners escaped from the station.
The investigating team tasked to look into how the three escaped will be handing over their report to Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua tomorrow.
Police chief operations officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu said the team will be returning from Nadi tomorrow and will submit their report to the head of the Force.
ACP Tudravu said they have concluded their investigation which covers all aspects such as how the three managed to escape from the cell block to the number of officers on duty.
He said the incidents are unfortunate and tarnishes the professional image the Force is trying to build.
A similar investigation is being carried out on the incident in Suva where a remand prisoner escaped while being escorted to the Legal Aid Office.
A team consisting of 35 officers is helping in the search for the three prisoners in the Western Division with another team deployed from Suva for reinforcement.
As the search continues for the four, members of the public are being asked to be patient as check points will be erected throughout the search operation.
