Around 250 jobs are expected to be created during the construction phase of the Tappoo City shopping mall near Churchill Park.
Tappoo Group Executive Director, Harnish Tappoo said preparations have started for the construction of the mall in Lautoka.
He said three firms of local and overseas consultants have been working round the clock on a detailed architectural plans, drawings and designs for the project.
He said the foundation laying and commencement of full building construction will start soon.
Tappoo said the up market shopping mall will comprise of department stores, retail stores, showrooms, food court with entertainment and other facilities.
This is expected to create in excess of 300 jobs when the mall is in operation.
Meanwhile, the Tappoo group said they have acquired a commercial lease for the land where the Tappoo City will be constructed in Lautoka.
This project is estimated to be an investment of over $20 million by the Tappoo Group.
