Commissioner meets Rev Nawadra on role of church

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua today met with Methodist Church of Fiji General Secretary Reverend Tevita Nawadra on their role as a church.
Brigadier General Naivalurua said the Methodist Church can help assist the Police Force in terms of spreading awareness to their congregation about the number of issues confronting our communities.
He said they need as many avenues as possible to get awareness on issues that continue to plague society and the church has a very influential role in getting these messages across to its members.
The Police Commissioner today began a series of meetings with community leaders to outline the focus for the Force for 2013 as well as our expectations from the community in terms of fighting crime.
