Police have seen a worrying trend where an increase number of pedestrians and passengers are becoming victims of road fatalities.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said last year 24 pedestrians were victims to road fatalities and this year three pedestrians have died on our roads.
Out of the 19 road fatality victims so far this year, nine were passengers.
Meanwhile, police are working on some leads that could help with the investigation into the discovery of a 19 year olds body on Sunday night at Valase, Sigatoka on the Queens road.
A team investigating the alleged hit and run incident is currently conducting house to house visitations collecting information.
Anyone with information is still being requested to call their nearest community post or station or 917.
The post mortem is expected to be conducted today.
The current road death toll stands at 19 compared to 12 for the same period last year.
