The number of visitors to the maternity unit of the CWM hospital will now be strictly limited.
This has been confirmed by CWM Hospital Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. James Fong.
Dr Fong said they are trying to cater for the people living in the Suva and greater Suva area and the decision has been made to avoid crowding at the unit.
Meanwhile Dr Fong said an investigation is being carried in relation to an incident where a woman is claiming that she was made to walk to the labor ward from the observation room.
He said a new change is to have beds moved out onto the corridor of the maternity unit, to allow for easy movement of expectant mothers, and visitors going into the ward will be restricted.
