Cheating should never be condoned and the Acting Minister for Education Commander Viliame Naupoto said the seven students in Labasa and their parents should accept the harsh reality that malpractice occurred during the sitting of the Form 7 biology paper last year.
Commander Naupoto said while emotions are running high, people should realize that all the facts have been considered and the ministry has conclusive evidence that the students were involved in malpractice.
Based on this, they got zero for their biology paper.
Commander Naupoto revealed that redress mechanisms should also be in place for such cases and suggestions have been made for the setting up of an Education Tribunal.
