The Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre has confirmed an increase of sponsorship of $20,000 from last year in the Uprising International Sevens Tournament next weekend.
Assistant Coordinator, Edwina Kotoisuva said they will continue providing assistance for the sport to grow in the country as this is also a way for them to create awareness on violence against Women.
The winner of the Uprising International Sevens will walk away with $3,500 while the losing finalist receives $1,500.
The tournament kicks off next Friday at Churchill Park.
