Investigations continue in relation to around 50 baby sharks that were found dead on the beach of Nukulau Island on Saturday.
Fisheries Department senior research officer Sunia Waqainabete said they have just returned from Nukulau Island this afternoon after carrying out investigations.
He said the cause of death and circumstances surrounding the matter are yet to be ascertained and they are not ruling out anything at the moment.
He added they will be briefing the permanent secretary for Fisheries on the matter.
