A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji.
According to the Nadi Weather Office a shallow trough of low pressure which is slow moving eastwards towards Fiji together with an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain continues to affect the group.
This will lead to heavy rain at times and a few thunderstorms over most parts of the Fiji group which may lead to localized flooding in low lying areas.
This weather is expected to remain till Thursday.
We have received reports of heavy rain being experienced in Lautoka and Nadi.
However there have been no reports of localized flooding so far.
Sigatoka has received 91.5mm of rainfall, Nausori received 70.5mm, and Lautoka received 50.5mm of rainfall since yesterday morning.
Meanwhile, Continuous heavy rain may lead to flooding near the Ba town areas.
Special Administrator Arun Prasad said the water level in Elevuka Creek is rising and if it rains heavily for another 2 hours or so the bus stand and town areas may be flooded.
He said they are monitoring the situation.
Prasad added that no reports of flooding have come up so far.
Meanwhile it is currently raining heavily in Ba town and nearby areas.
