2 found, 4 still missing at sea

Two of the six people who were missing at sea are now safely back on land.

One of the passengers on the boat to Batiki that went missing in the weekend swam ashore to Natokalau village, Ovalau.

Police said the PWD worker was one of the passengers on the boat “YAVU YOUTH” while the captain of the boat was rescued by a passing boat.

The two are currently admitted at Levuka Hospital.

The search continues for the missing four.

The seven had left Levuka on a white fibre glass boat on Saturday and were suppose to reach Batiki village around 1pm on Sunday.
