The Fiji weightlifting team has rated Nauru as their toughest opponent when the competition for the Mini Games starts today.
Manueli Tulo and Joe Vueti will take part in their respective weight category.
Tulo is in the 56kg category and will be the favourite against 4 other competitors from Kiribati, Tonga, Nauru and Tuvalu.
The 18 year old who was named last year's Male Athlete of the Year said that he knows what to expect as he tries to do Fiji proud in his first outing in the Mini Games.
For seasonal campaigner Joe Vueti, the 77kg category is again a test of what he can produce against the best from other nations.
Vueti said that he has prepared well to finish in the number 1 spot.
Also today the medal playoff in the rugby league 7s takes place when Fiji will play Tonga in the semifinal at 12pm.
Fiji lost to Tonga 24-18 yesterday but manager Mesake Navugona is confident they will avenge the defeat today and defend the gold medal.
