Recruitment and training of close to 100 locals for Fiji's first ever casino is expected to begin in the second quarter of this year.
One hundred Sands limited Director for Customer experiences Greg Schillinger said they will be setting up a training facility in Suva and Denarau for eligibility requirements and training on certain aspects of gaming.
He added that a budget of $10million alone will be used on promoting the casino to major international markets.
Chairperson Larry Claunch had confirmed to Fijivillage that the $290million casino will be funded by One Hundred Sands limited and international investors.
The ground breaking ceremony will be held at Denarau this Saturday.
The casino is expected to be completed by September 2013.
