Religious organization member pleads not guilty

A member of a religious organization today pleaded not guilty to inciting to commit an offence of assault.

It is alleged that Faiyaz Ali Khan had a rift with the committee members over an administration issue in October last year.

Today, Khan told Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili that he has engaged Legal Aid to represent him.

Khan’s bail has been extended and he is to appear on 28th August.
