Commonwealth Special Envoy, Sir Paul Reeves is currently in Fiji to have further meetings and has already met with Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.
However there are clear indications that the Commonwealth is not willing to change it's stance in relation to elections in Fiji.
Commodore Bainimarama confirmed that there was nothing progressive discussed and nothing new was brought up by the Commonwealth that can assist Fiji in it's path back to elections in 2014.
Commodore Bainimarama said he also told Sir Paul Reeves to ask the Commonwealth countries to lift the travel sanctions.
However the Prime Minister said he does not expect this to happen apart from word that the NZ government may just lift the travel sanctions for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
We are yet to get confirmation on other meetings that Sir Paul Reeves has held in Fiji.
