Preparations are well underway for more than eighty students of Dilkusha Methodist High School for their participation in next month's Tadra Kahani with Connect.
The students are expecting great competition from the other secondary schools taking part.
The defending Champions in the senior division will be portraying their performance on the theme of “Children are the priority” as they believe that children will be at risk and resort to bad behavior when neglected.
Student Representative Nemani Nabalarua said they are determined to keep their title.
According to the Social Welfare ministry children between the ages of 12 to 17 years were the most sexually abused and victims of neglect this year.
99 children in this age group around the country were sexually abused and were neglected between January and June this year.
In the Senior division, Dilkusha Methodist School, Suva Grammar School, International School Suva, Cathedral Secondary School, Marist Champagnant Institute, Dudley High School, LDS College, Lomary Secondary School, Blue Light Fiji and Ratu Kadavulevu School will take part.
