Compensation and employment are part of an agreement among the eleven villages in the province of Ba and Amex Resource Limited of Australia.
Ratu Kaliova Nabeka of Sorokoba said that the two districts which consist of 11 villages are still waiting to be informed on when the project will begin.
Nabeka said that they have been promised jobs to be given first to the landowners and will be divided amongst the villagers.
300 full time jobs and 50 short term jobs will be created once the dredging of the mineral sand at the Ba river start.
