A dying girl's wish of wanting a mobile phone just like any other teenager was answered in an hour.
14 year old Ruth Susau lost her battle against cancer on Wednesday but that was only after she received her phone.
Walk On Walk Strong founder Sina Kami said during their visit to the CWM children cancer ward last Wednesday, she met Ruth who she had heard a lot about.
Kami said while talking to the mother, she was informed that her daughter had always wanted a mobile phone.
According to Kami Ruth's condition reminded her of what her daughter Tae Kami went through toward her last day which motivated her to buy the new phone.
Kami added that to see the look on the girl's face when they presented the phone was just priceless.
Ruth Susau was laid to rest this morning.
Meanwhile, Communications Fiji Limited which is the parent company for Legend FM, FM96, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and Viti FM has joined the worthy cause in helping the Walk on Walk strong campaign raise money for children living with cancer.
A nationwide appeal will also be held on the 4th of next month.
If you want to make donations, the Westpac Suva CFL appeal account number is 9800935794.
You can also visit the home of Legend FM here at 231 Waimanu Road from now until August 4th.
