Good news for people in the Eastern Outer Islands as a new shipping vessel is expected to be purchased to solve the problem of delay and inconsistent shipping services.
Commissioner Eastern, Lt Colonel Netani Rika confirmed that the new vessel will be bought from China this year.
Meanwhile two Government vessels, MV Iloilovatu and MV Rogovoka are the main vessels which transport civil servants to the outer islands and also other passengers.
