No change in Provincial council meeting system
The Ministry of I-Taukei Affairs will not change its Provincial council meeting system.

This was confirmed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of I-Taukei Affairs Savenaca Kaunisela after Fijivillage raised questions whether other races will be included in the provincial meetings this year.

Kaunisela said that they will stick to the old system. 


Meanwhile, the dates of the 14 Provincial Council meetings is currently put on hold as the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is yet to appoint chairmen for all the provincial councils. 

Commodore Voreqe have appointed Uraia Waibuta to be the new chairman for the Rewa Provincial Council while the Tui Tavua Ratu Jale Ratu will lead the Ba Provincial Council meeting.
