Some items stored at the Rakiraki Police Station by the Electronic Voter Registration team disappeared from the station last night according to Police Commissioner Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua.
He said he was informed about the incident by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama this morning.
While addressing the Breathalyzer Operators Conference today, the Police Commissioner said this incident questions the credibility of the force.
Naivalurua also said he is now checking the state of the exhibit rooms of all the police stations in the country.
Meanwhile, we have just spoken to Director CID Vakacegu Toduadua who said the electronic voter registration items were found again at the Rakiraki Police Station earlier today.
