At least 2,500 jobs are expected to be created when Gibson Guitar Corporation opens a new factory in Fiji.
CEO of Gibson Guitar Henry Juszkiewicz said they will be proposing to Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama a new project for their second facility to be built in the country.
According to Juskawicz who is in Fiji for the first time, they are looking at completing the first phase by next year.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said they are looking forward to discussing the proposals.
Meanwhile, the branding ceremony of Fiji Pure Mahogany was done by the Prime Minister at the Sustainable Mahogany Industries factory in Deuba.
