A newly renovated mortuary was opened at the CWM hospital yesterday.
This follows the outsourcing of the mortuary to Suva Funeral Directors.
According to Minster for Health Dr. Neil Sharma following concerns by the public, major upgrades were undertaken on the old mortuary, which did not have enough space and often provided a sub-standard service.
Meanwhile, Dr Sharma added that rural and Sub-Divisional Health Centers now have mortuaries and that the Lautoka and Labasa hospital mortuaries will also be renovated.
However these services will be outsourced.
