The Vatuwaqa Bailey Bridge is now open to traffic for the first time since the existing bridge closed 7 months ago.
Fiji Roads Authority Chief Executive Officer Neil Cook said he is glad the bridge is also open in time for the Coca Cola Games tomorrow.
Cook said following months of motorists taking alternative routes the Bailey bridge now opens up entire access to Fletcher Road.
However Cook said the bailey bridge will be used for a couple of years as more work is still needed on the old Vatuwaqa Bridge.
