Tui Cakau to open Cakaudrove Provicial Council Meeting

The Paramount Chief of Cakaudrove, the Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu is expected to open the Cakaudrove Provincial Council Meeting in Somosomo, Taveuni next week.
Roko Tui Cakaudrove Ratu Aca Mataitini confirmed that the Tui Cakau has indicated his support to the chiefs and representatives of the Tikina.
Mataitini said proper utilization of land for agriculture purposes is one of the issues to be discussed in the two day meeting.
He hopes the people of Cakaudrove will follow plans set by the government which is covered under the People's Charter for Change.
The chiefs will have their Bose Vanua next Tuesday before the meeting proper which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Cakaudrove Province has 16 districts and 132 villages.
