The dentist who had her annual practicing certificate revoked last week but kept her clinics open has today surrendered her practicing license to the Fiji Medical Council.
This is the confirmation from the Fiji Medical Council Chief Executive Officer and Registrar Dharmesh Prasad after having discussions with her over the weekend.
Prasad said the dentist has also assured the council that the clinics have been closed.
According to Prasad, the dentist has also requested if her staff can be at the clinics in order to refer the patients to the hospital.
He said they are still looking into this.
Prasad stressed that people are to ask the dental practitioners for their license before using their services.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its investigation after receiving the complaint from the council last Friday.
